PermaPics: A Rock N Roll patio in music City.
Patty Coverdale, owner of Stable Surface, and her boyfriend Mark (guitarist for Lynyrd Skynyrd band) transformed this patio:
This 128 sq. ft. third floor patio is located in the Lions Head Condominiums in Nashville, Tennessee. The patio was carpeted and had problems with water not draining properly. Patty and Mark first had to remove the carpet and all the carpet glue from the surface.
Patty then applied her skim coat of PermaCrete with the natural Matrix color and leveled off the entire patio. They then taped off their pattern.
Patty and Mark then applied a texture coat by using beige, brown and charcoal Colorant, and then sponging off the individual tiles. They also applied caulk around the edges of the steel fence posts. Finally, when the Matrix was dry, they applied PermaSeal Clear Sealer.
