Patrice Garacci puts a delightfully unique spin on that wonderful old adage. And, of course, it’s a PermaCrete spin at that! Patrice’s exquisite pool deck and intricate use of templates obviously makes his own home the place to be. When he’s not spreading the good word about PermaCrete, he’s installing not just a little of the product itself through his company, Pac–Station, Inc., in Bradenton, Florida. But, perhaps the crowning touch is the remarkable and impressive PermaCrete compass on his patio which he installed using a pattern template he located on the Internet. An inherent characteristic of all epoxy installations is that they yellow over a period of time, whether using colored epoxy or clear epoxy. However, pigmented or "colored" epoxy doesn’t show yellowing nearly as much as clear epoxy, because the pigments tend to hide the yellowing and the surface appears to be slowly aging. Also, frequent or periodic surface cleaning with strong chemicals can actually slow the yellowing process to some degree.

There were many colorful and informative exhibits at the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Show in Orlando this January, but none more impressive than PermaCrete’s.
