Each Airless spray tip has a 3 or 4 digit number. For example, Graco Airless Tip number LTX 517 or WR 1227. For a 3-digit number, the first digit is the spray pattern (measured in inches) multiplied by 2, and the second and third digits represent the tip orifice size (in inches). For a 4-digit number, the first two digits are the spray pattern (measured in inches) multiplied by 2, and the third and fourth digits are the tip orifice size.
Examples: - LTX 517 is a 10 inch (5 x 2) spray pattern with a .017-orifice
- WR 1227 is a 24-inch (12 x 2) spray pattern with a .027-inch orifice
NOTE: Each spray pattern is measured at 12 inches from the spray surface.

Perma·Paint chips should be dispersed to cover 70% of the entire surface area leaving the remaining 30% uncovered by chips. The coverage rate is approximately 6 to 7 square feet per 1 pound bag of Perma·Paint chips when cumbled to a "fine" chip size. There are 15 to 20 square feet per 1 pound bag of Perma·Paint chips in their original size.
NOTE: Coverage will vary depending on the percent of coverage of surface area, the method of dispersing, and chip size.
