PermaCrete Sponsors NASCAR® Winston Cup Racing

January 6, 1997

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE  -  PermaCrete is pleased to announce that beginning with the February 16 Daytona 500 Winston Cup race at NASCAR's most famous superspeedway in Dayton Beach, Florida, PermaCrete will again be an associate sponsor for the Marcis Auto Racing Team as well as in fifteen other of the season's additional feature races, including ones at the Indianapolis, Talladega, Charlotte, Darlington, Atlanta, Texas, Bristol and Richmond speedways. PermaCrete decision to extend its sponsorship from last year's commitment into the 1997 NASCAR season follows an eventful year of publicity as it became a recognized tradename at Winston Cup racing around the country.

Importantly, PermaCrete continues as one of the first Tennessee-based corporate sponsors of NASCAR Winston Cup team-racing and, as an associate sponsor for the Dave Marcis Prodigy Chevrolet, PermaCrete's name and consumer toll-free (800) GO PERMA number will be emblazoned on the back quarter-panel areas of the team's familiar Monte Carlo as it continues its impressive record of over 800 Winston Cup starts, second only to Richard Petty's 1,185 races between 1958 and 1992.

PermaCrete Resurfacing Products, which are manufactured by Quality Systems, Inc., are distributed worldwide through an extensive network of Dealers and Distributors and maintains its corporate and manufacturing facilities in Nashville, TN. PermaCrete products have gained global recognition in the past seven years as a premium concrete resurfacing material of over 6,000 PSI compressive strength that's used in the homebuilding industry as well as for vehicular and pedestrian traffic areas and, most recently, interstate highway and airport runway surfaces.

As an acrylic polymer cement compound of over 6,000 PSI compressive strength, PermaCrete is applied over concrete, masonry, aggregate, steel and foam, and provides an architectural surface of unusual strength and flexibility with twice the overall strength and endurance as that of standard concrete. It's extremely resistant to stains from oil, mildew, salt or water as well as industrial chemicals, and equally withstands freeze-thaw cycles and intense heat and ultraviolet sun rays.

In the increasingly competitive world for corporate marketshare, PermaCrete joins such familiar names as Kodak, Tide, RCA, McDonald's and others in seeking the impressive sales results which are becoming routine from NASCAR sponsorships and the fierce brand-loyalty of its racing fans who view the action each week on CBS, ABC, ESPN, TBS, TNN and other nationwide or cable networks.
