MotifCrete - Cottonwood, TN
According to Patty Coverdale, a design consultant for MotifCrete, this was the first PermaCrete job for MotifCrete.
"The homeowners had just poured concrete for the walkway and stairs. But, before it could set up, a huge hail storm hit the area and left golf ball sized indentations in the concrete. The contractor who poured the concrete indicated that there was nothing he could do other than rip it up and start all over again. Obviously, the homeowners were very upset to say the least."
They went on the Internet looking for solutions, and quickly found PermaCrete.
"The homeowners then gave us a tile from their kitchen hoping we could get the colors "reasonably close". We nailed it and got an exact match, and they couldn't believe it".
"What was really great is that we got this first job as a result of a FREE RETAIL LEAD from PermaCrete. What a great service for a new Dealer! We just couldn't have had an easier sale!"
"Because the homeowner is so thrilled with this job, and the service we provided, it will lead to many additional jobs for us from this referral."
Advanced Resurfacing Technologies - Altoona, PA
According to Scott Baker and Eric James, owners and operators or Advanced Surfacing Technologies:
"We met these customers at a Home and Garden Show in Central Pennsylvania. They wanted a
20 x 20 staggered tile pattern. Their home is made up of prefab concrete stone, bringing in many muted earth tones. The Harpsters wanted to keep those tones in the exterior tile area and agreed that the PermaCrete solution would provide a more custom finish than any store-bought tile. From cleaning to sealer, we worked over the course of 4 days, racing a rain storm to finish. We used a medium nozzle and knock down for the tile texture, and used brown slurry to topically color each tile. We added hints of copper to accent and give depth to each tile.
By the end of the job, we actually had an audience, made up of neighbors, watching the process.
Mrs. Harpster is the local grade school Principal and was looking to complete the job before her annual end of the year faculty party at her home. She said the decking was a hit and gave out many of our business cards. Bottom line is, the homeowners were more than pleased. We look forward to finishing their driveway next year. And, we look to get a few more jobs from this one!
Scott added:
"Mrs. Harpster will be the future Principal of my boy, Jake, so we gave her a small discount now. I figure that this will pay big dividends later when we need to bail Jake out of her office"!
Roncrete Custom Coatings - Scottsdale, AZ
Ron Miller, owner of Roncrete Custom Coatings, describes his first retail pool job:
"The customer had a Kool Deck surface that was literally coming apart in spots, and they thought they were going to have to tear the whole deck out and start over. That is, until I offered them the PermaCrete solution.
I put down a skim coat with the hopper gun, and then used a magic trowel to smooth out all of the rough spots that were still there to give me a nice base to work with. The customer wanted a basket-weave design to match a patio that was adjacent, so I ran that pattern throughout the project.
I suggested that we add the gecko to spice it up and add some fun to the pool area. I designed and cut out my own template for the gecko. I do custom work like this and it separates me from others and also allows me to get great retail pricing as a result!
The customer absolutely loves it and cannot believe the difference that PermaCrete makes. I'm also doing the front walkways of the house in the same pattern since they love it so much."
