Unique Bathroom Countertop With Artifacts

The bathroom countertop in a log cabin being built in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan gave Micky Van Etten of Mor-Joy Construction a very unique opportunity. The Native American owner of the log home provided Micky with authentic arrowheads from the homeowner’s private collection. Upon a base of cement board, Micky applied almond colored PermaCrete into which he imbedded the arrowheads. He then applied a coat of PermaPoxy over the entire countertop, sealing in the arrowheads. The unique countertop adds to the rustic, even historic authenticity of the home which is near Gould City, Michigan. Congratulations to Micky who will be credited with $500 in free Matrix Mix for his “Before and After” photographs in this month’s Showcase!
