The owner of CM Show Horses (Hammock Curve Ranch in Florida) wanted to make the paddock look a little more Ritzy. This paddock has been home to several Grand and Reserve World Champion Paint Halter horses.
According to Dealer Brad Martin of Patriot Commercial in Oxford, Florida:
"We had to rush everything on this job because the horses could not be out in the sun, and they had no other paddock equipped for these specific horses. The horses have to be exercised everyday so that only gave us a 28 hour time period before the 1,800 lb. horses would be walking on the surface. Needless to say it was a challenge! The pattern is a herringbone all the way through. We originally did the floor in an earthy tone with the dark red herringbone as a 2 foot border down both sides of the isles. However, the owner liked the herringbone so much that he wanted us to put it all the way through - that meant that the whole rush process had to be done all over again. This job was completed last year and there is still no visible wear; even from the 1,800 lb. horses with metal horse shoes twisting, turning and stumbling down the isle. That has impressed a lot of folks."
Brad goes on to say:
"The owners were also real impressed at how easily the PermaCrete cleaned up, if you know what I mean."
